Stelvio Pass

The Stelvio Pass is one of the more famous in the Dolomites which are the Italian Alps. This pass is not necessarily the best, but it is probably the best known. And photographed. And video recorded. SO, I recorded some video and took some pictures.

The road up from the south side.

In one of my videos, this guy is seen passing me like I was standing still. I almost was, as I moved over to let him pass, but what you cannot see here, as I could not even make him understand why I was taking a picture of him, much less get him to stand in front of his bike, is that he is wearing shorts. He did make me understand that this is "home".

A few pics of the rode down.

This is a long video, most of which is not that interesting. It starts with the Blue Man Group, then some good riding, then at 3:51 Mr. Short Pants passes me, then some boring, then in the end, some curves with bicycles and other obstacles..

This was a great ride down until I got caught behind a bus. The locals knew what it took me a while to figure out, I was not going to get by that bus.
