It is not often that a Hotel deserves a post.
You know you are in an interesting hotel when:
When you are walking around your hotel lobby, see some cars and try to get a closer look, and the guy says you cannot because it is their service area, for McLaren Automobiles......
And this is next to reception
And if you want, there are a few nice old cars for sale. Lowest price about $300,000
And if you don't have that much, SOME of the cars in the next room are more affordable:
Only a few American Muscle Cars
And a Jet hanging above the Ferraris and Maseratis.
If you are interested in buying a new Lamborghini, or Bentley, just walk down the hall. You want a Ferrari or Maserati (or Harley) you have to cross the street. Porsche is down the alley there. McLaren? That's just off the lobby.
AND, if you want to rent one of these, or one of any of a number of classic (and I mean CLASSIC) cars, sure. Get your credit .... errr officer and we will talk.
You can also store your multi million dollar vehicle here for when you want to take a quick run to the Alps.
Nothing like sitting in your hotel room and hearing a Maserati, or other very expensive car rev it up outside.
Some of the rooms are "Theme Rooms" which is a bit different than, uhh, some of the theme rooms in the US. For the record, I did NOT pay the extra $48/night for one of these rooms.
Oh, and of course, the Soap and pens are shaped like cars
The V8 Hotel v8hotel.de is part of Motor World. This one in Stuttgart, Germany. They cater to people interested in Cars. Expensive Cars. Classic Cars. Exclusive Cars. Nice place, reasonable prices, relative to the area, and central enough to what ever you might want to do car related in the area. Not close, but not too far from the Porsche Museum. Same to the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Right near the Mercedes factory. Not far from the Triumph Motorcycle dealer, which is handy for me.
