A number of people recommended I take the boat trip to Doubtful Sound. This was a boar trip across Lake Manapouri, then a bus trip over the mountains to a fiord called Doubtful Sound. It was a pretty nice trip, and helped me slow down, as I tend to just go-go-go on my trips. A day on a boat means no miles on the bike.
The views were pretty great and a very relaxing day. Still, I would rather be on a bike.
The power plant at the end of the lake has long tunnels to the Fiord.

The Fiord is interesting as the top layer is fresh water, and salt water below, making interesting sea life.
